Mission & Responsibilities
Mission
•Pilots the technical aspects of the Project or Tender
•Represents technically the project, vis-à-vis the customer
•Specifies and validates, with his team, the Transport System Solution, and controls the technical consistency through a strong interfaces Management and quality, costanddelay(QCD) approach
ResponsibilitiesProjectEngineering Director/Manager (Turnkey) responsibilities include:
-Propose the Engineering Scope of Work to the Project or Tender Manager; define the WorkPackages for the Systems Engineering teamand for the participating Operations Products lines (first level), produce them with his team for Systems Engineering
-Manage technical relationship with the Consortium andthe client
-Develop system acceptance criteria & processes, and have them agreed upon by Customer
-Choose the hypotheses for performance calculations and validate the results
-Validate the system Specifications and the interfaces specifications
-Control, with the support of the Design Control Manager, the System configuration
-Manage Design Changes related to the transport system definition throughout the project cycle
-Follow the Preliminary and Final Designs progress
-In relationship with the Project Test & Commissioning Manager, manages the integration and validation activities
-Lead, develop and motivate the Engineering Project / Tender team
-Implement the Methods and Engineering tools as per agreed recommendations
-Issue the technical risks assessment & mitigation
-Implement & Control the requirement capture
-Ensure the carry-over from previous projects and current R&Ds

Candidate requirements
Educational requirements
Master University Degree in Engineering
Technical Knowledge / Experience
Broad Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment and systemsAt least 5 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions including at least 3 years in managerial positions in international projectsSenior Expert or Expert in System Engineering
Behavioral and Technical Skills / Competencies
System Engineering practices
SafetyQCD methodology
Experience of People ManagementFluent in English, and fluent in contract language
Wide knowledge of the rail environment appreciated
Good co-ordination and communication
